I’ll admit up front that the blog is not going to contain any actual content for the next week or three (did it ever, you ask?) It will likely be a place to find out if Jonesville still stands.  So far, it does.

  • The wedding went off yesterday sans nor’easter.  In fact “Hurricaine”Schwartz was pretty way off on the forecast.  And I’m glad he was.  On Saturday I woke up and peeked out the window. “Jones, is that blue sky?”  It was.  The wedding was at 11:30 a.m,  The sun was in and out, the breeze was blowing, temps were in the 60’s.  It was a very nice morning.  As the day wore on it became overcast, but the reception was indoors in a room with huge windows.  It was a very lovely place to get married.  It wasn’t exactly like our ceremony, but it was nice.  My sister seemed very happy and her husband did too.  I can’t believe she’s married.  Matter of fact I can’t believe she isn’t in middle school any more ;)  When I left for college she was entering high school.  The boys got to play with the Livs, which was really nice.  One sweet thing (literally) is that my sister, a pastry chef & her husband, a chef chef, made these chocolates for everyone.  They made truffles, flavored with maple pecans, some asian goo, a tropical coconut filling & one filled with caramel!  They were so delicious.  They wrapped ‘em up neatly and put them in small chinese food take-out type boxes, he decorated. They gave them away as favors.  Sweet.  The ring bearers were perfect. My camera is broken but I will have to post some photos of my purple bow-tie boys!
  • JMJ turned 2 quite grumpily.  He wore his suit to the wedding and walked around in a daze most of the day.  Last night he woke up croupy :(  I’m at a total loss as to what to do with the little buddy and his getting sick every week.  He was very sweet last night though when he woke up.  He just wanted to snuggle with mom.  No screaming. That was nice.
  • The Livs hosted a nice lunch today which included my folks & JMJ’s good friend E (and his family of course).  It was precious to see J,C & E play together.
  • 11 days til we arrive in our new home (Lord-willing).  And each of those 11 days is full to the brim.
  • 3 more nights of Jones working at night.
  • 1 more Sunday here.
  • 1 more Sunday of not preaching :)
  • It has been busy.  It will be busy.  Glad I have a place to talk about it :)

  • I’m glad you have a place to talk about it, too. :)

  • -GASP-
So really, that was the last time I’m gonna see you?

    Say it isn’t so…

  • I’m so glad the wedding went well…and congratulations to J-man for hitting the big 2! Maybe he’ll be more equipped at 2 to deal with the croup, eh? If you want to drop him off today, Bubs is croupy too. They can play with tools and drool and hack on each other.

    Happy graduation this week!

  • I’m glad we’ll get to see you for a bit in the midst of all your moving, graduating and sickness (hope that’s over soon!) craziness. Thanks for the loan of the car seat…that saves us a lot of hassle. :)
p.s. Unrelated to this post, I think JAM will not ruin the show. These writers can totally handle it.

  • Poor little babyJ- I hope he is croup-free soon. I also hope your busyness in moving and last minute to-dos transpire smoothly and without too many glitches. I am praying for the Joneses.
